Pingree Parents Association 2012-2013 Nominating Form
Parents can nominate themselves or someone they feel would be appropriate for a specific committee. Nominations can be made for one or more committees. Nominations are for chairs or co-chair positions of events/fundraisers, staffing is handled through the volunteer forms sent out over the summer. More detailed job descriptions are available on the Pingree Parents page of the School web site. All terms are for one year. Completed forms should be returned by April 9th to:

Vice President ______Main coordinator of all Class Rep groups ensuring continual communications between parents and school. Vice President will serve as President 2013-2014

Snack Shack (Two Co-Chairs) – Late Summer, Fall and Spring activity. Responsible for stocking the Shack and enlisting volunteers to bake and staff during home games. Responsible for opening student accounts. (Current Chair: Maureen Gilbert)

Faculty/Staff Appreciation Coffeeand Dinner (Two Co-Chairs) – Fall Conferences - Simple coffee and snacks and a simple supper for faculty and staff to fuel them and thank them for Fall Parent- Student-Teacher Conferences (Current Chairs: Louisa Attenborough, Jen Eddy) ______
Faculty/Staff Appreciation Luncheon (Two Co-Chairs) – Before holiday vacation in December and end of school year in May – Arrange food donations and staff luncheon to thank faculty and staff. (Current Chair: Cindy Manning, Barbara Tomkins)
______Friends of the Library (One Chair) – Liaison with Pingree Library Staff to coordinate parent volunteers (Current Chair: Chris Ferrari) ______
PIN Representatives (Two Reps) – Attend PIN meetings during the school year, report on PIN meetings at PPA meetings, travel required (PIN is made up of representatives of private schools from the South Shore, North Shore and Boston’s western suburbs. Topics of interest for discussion are chosen by the PIN board. Meetings are split for elementary and high schools. Meetings are held weekdays and are centrally located to minimize travel for all attendees.) (Current Reps: Amy Stavros and Karen Trowbridge) ______
Class Representatives (One Head Rep plus three Class Reps for each class) Working with the Class Dean and the Director of Parent Relations. Class Representatives are responsible for: * Planning a Class Pot Luck Dinner for parents * Planning one or two activities throughout the year for parents and students with class dean. * Help plan and organize class Homecoming event * Coordinating support for school sponsored events. * Attend all Parent Association meetings.

10th (Current: Head Rep: Joan Sullivan – Reps: Sally Powell, Nancy Novack, Kim Khachadourian) ______11th Junior Class Reps have added responsibility for supporting the Essex County Youth Soccer Tournament in June. (Current: Head Rep: Liz Varga - Reps: mary Lou Monterio, Olve larson, Michelle Nadeau) ______12th Senior Class Reps have added responsibility for planning and executing the Post Prom Party. (Current: Head Rep: Mindy McManus - Reps: Evangelyn Surette, Charlotte Guldemond, Kristin Patrican) ______Beautification Committee (One Chair) – Responsible for purchasing and planting seasonal plants in the 6 urns around campus. (Current Committee: Steve Walfield) ______
Athletic Booster Committee (2-4 Co-Chairs) - Support the Athletic Office through photography, organizing athletic ware sales, generating excitement and publicity about Pingree athletics. (Current Co-Chairs: Tia Franzese, Gail Steele, Eileen Dwortz)

Art Department Booster Committee (Two Co-Chairs) Support for visual arts, performance arts and concerts through ticket sales, concessions, pot luck dinners, and more throughout the year. (Current Co-Chairs: Christine Martins, Ellen Shain)

Mutli Cultural Education Committee (Two Co-Chairs) Support for the Multi Cultural Education Steering Committee through communication, hosting pot luck dinners, decorating the school for religious and cultural celebrations and more throughout the year. (Current Chair: Gloribel Gonzalez)

On-Line Auction Committee: (Two Co-Chairs) Build a team to solicit local businesses and Pingree parents for items to auction off on-line in February 2013. Our BIGGEST fund raiser! (Current Chair: Donna Di Lillo)
