PICTUREHOUSE ENTERTAINMENT AND A24 ANNOUNCE UK RELEASE DATE OF SWISS ARMY MAN

SWISS ARMY MAN, the critically acclaimed, US box office and Sundance hit will be released in the UK on September 30 by Picturehouse Entertainment and A24, following A24’s successful US opening. The film is an outrageous and heartfelt comedy that is the feature directorial debut of acclaimed music video directors Dan Kwan and Daniel Scheinert (collectively known as DANIELS, and responsible for the visionary “Turn Down For What” video, among many others), who won the Best Director Award in the U.S. Narrative Competition at Sundance 2016. SWISS ARMY MAN stars Daniel Radcliffe (Harry Potter films, Kill Your Darlings, Woman in Black) and Paul Dano (War & Peace, 12 Years a Slave, Little Miss Sunshine).

Outrageously funny and deeply affecting, SWISS ARMY MAN tells the tale of Hank (Paul Dano); stranded on a deserted island and having given up all hope of ever making it home again. But one day everything changes when a corpse named Manny (Daniel Radcliffe) washes up on shore; the two become fast friends, and ultimately go on an epic adventure that will bring Hank back to the woman of his dreams.

Clare Binns, Director of Programming & Acquisition at Picturehouse Entertainment said “We are thrilled to be working with A24 on the UK release of Swiss Army Man. Picturehouse and A24 are very like-minded companies and we look forward to the shared expertise and creativity both companies will bring to the UK release of such an original piece of work. It’s going to be a lot of fun!”
