Objective To pursue a career in Engineering and Project Management related fields, in which I can utilize my background and skills in Engineering and Project Management.

Previous experience  July 20th 2005 until present, Partner and General Manager of “Island group”, Construction, Engineering and Contracting Company specialized in civil and mechanical construction & Engineering works.

 January 2004 till July 15th 2005, “Technip”-Technip Italy, Ras Laffan industrial city, Qatar in the project of ORYX-GTL (Gas-To-Liquid). A project of 675,000,000 US$. Under project management of “Sasol & Qatar petroleum”. Working as civil works lead supervisor for the “Utilities and Off-sites” units.

Main concrete structures are: 1. Equipment foundations (Vessels drums, pumps, heat exchangers, reactors…etc) 2. Vibrating equipment foundations (Turbo generators, compressors). 3. Tank concrete ring foundations, 4. Effluent treatment concrete clarifiers & basins. 5. Concrete basins. 6. Retaining walls and earth dykes. 7. Concrete elevated structures (Cast in situ and precast frames). 8. Concrete pipe rack (Cast in situ and precast). 9. Concrete sleepers/foundations for pipes/steel structures.  November 2002 till October 2003, “Technip-Coflexip”- Technip Italy, Abu- Dhabi, UAE in the project of “Unleaded Gasoline and Low Sulfur Gas Oil” for the expansion of the Ruwais refinery “Takreer” and providing new units of light and heavy naphtha and gas oil hydro treating units as well as the revamping of the existing Kerosene and gas oil units. A project of 480,000,000 Euro estimated cost. Under project management of “Parsons- UK”.

Working as site engineer for civil works. Main duties are following up and monitoring the various activities and progresses of the subcontractors involved in the project.

 May 1999 till September 2002, “Technip-Coflexip”- Technip Italy/France, Amreya, Alexandria. As site engineer for civil works, in the grass-root project of “Midor oil refinery”, a project of 100,000 BPSD, around 135,000 cubic meters reinforced concrete and an amount of 1,200,000,000 US$ estimated cost. Under project management of “Foster Wheeler-UK”.

 September 1998 till May 1999, “Kajima corporation", Dekheila, Alexandria. As site engineer, in the “Flat steel plant project” in "Ezz-Dekheila iron & steel company", formerly called “Alexandria national iron & steel co” (ANSDK). A project of 120,000 cubic meters of reinforced concrete and about 280,000,000 US$ estimated cost. As a part-time design engineer, 1. Making the structural design of all types of structures (Residential, industrial…. etc) using SAP90 and STAAD application. 2. Making all necessary drawings for these above-mentioned projects, using the AutoCAD Application.

 Summer 1995 & 1996,”Hochtief AG” Essen, Germany. As student trainee, experience in the field of construction was gained while participating in: 1. Tunnel construction (Subway line in Duisburg). 2. Buildings (Stern gebäude project In Essen). 3. Unicad drawings.  Summer 1994, 1995 & 1996, “Alexanderwerk”, Remscheid, Germany. As student trainee, experience in the computer-aided design was gained.  Summer 1994, “Misr co. for reinforced concrete”, Seyouf, Alexandria. As student trainee, experience in the field of construction was gained while participating in : - Seyouf water treatment plant project.  Summer 1993 “Aerzener Maschinenfabrik”, Hannover, Germany. As student trainee, experience in the field of valves quality control was gained.
