Color A: 1 skein (5 oz.) Lion Brand Yarn© Lion Cotton© - black

Color B: 1 skein (5 oz.) Lion Brand Yarn© Lion Cotton – poppy red

Color C: 1 skein (2.5 oz.) Lily® Sugar’n Cream® Cotton – hot green

Color D: 1 skein (4 oz.) Lily® Sugar’n Cream® Cotton – rose pink

Color E: 1 skein (4 oz.) Lily® Sugar’n Cream® Cotton – cornflower

Color F: 1 skein (2.5 oz.) Lily® Sugar’n Cream® Cotton – hot orange

#3 (US) knitting needles

Blunt end yarn needle

Note 1: Color A is the background color.

Colors B, C, D, E, and F are used for the flower images.

Note 2: I used two different yarn brands, as well as skeins of different weights. I knit the face cloth as a test piece before converting the design to a larger project, so I used yarns I already had at home.

Note 3: To reduce the cost of the project, all the flowers could be made in the same color.

Row 4 – Color B: P1, (K3, P7), repeat between ( ) to last four stitches, K3, P1.

Row 5 – Color A: K

Row 6 – Color A: K1, (P3, K7), repeat between ( ) to last four stitches, P3, K1.

Row 7 – Color B: K

Row 8 – Color B: (K2, P1, K2, P5), repeat between ( ) to last 5 stitches, K2, P1, K2.

Row 9 – Color A: K

Row 10 – Color A: (P2, K1, P2, K5), repeat between ( ) to last 5 stitches, P2, K1, P2.

Rows 11 – 13: Repeat rows 3 – 5.

Row 14 – Color A: K

Row 15 – Color C: K

Cut yarns. Weave in ends. Block face cloth.
