The Reverend Mary Kay Bond died on Wednesday, August 20, 2003.

She was Vicar, Church of the Incarnation for many years and was the first woman in the Diocese of Western Kansas to be ordained to the Priesthood. Mary Kay was a prominent contributor to the life of the Diocese, representing it as a Deputy to General Convention and as a Board Member of the Seminary of the Southwest. The Reverend Bond was active as a member of the Diocesan Council and almost every other diocesan responsible position or commission. For a number of years she provided executive leadership as Chair of the Commission on Ministry and as a mentor to aspiring clergy.

Her family and friends are proud of her unstinting and principled led stands, her insight- ful teaching, and grace-filled opinions on a universe of topics.

An intellectual of the first rank, Mary Kay Bond's life was well lived, full of purpose and a blessing to all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
