Re: Brand Marketing, CRM Position
Dear Ms. Sullivan,
First and foremost, I strongly believe in all that LifeScan does and has to offer. Being in a family with a long history of diabetes, I have witnessed the detrimental effects diabetes has on people. For a company that strives to provide solutions for diabetics, I would love to devote my efforts and enthusiasm to LifeScan to help those who suffer from diabetes to live “a life without limits”.
I am completing a Bachelor of Commerce degree in May. My goal is to find a position in the marketing field where I can contribute my academic knowledge, analytical skills, and work ethic. Areas where I can make a contribution to LifeScan include:
Marketing Experience – My recently completed course in Marketing Analysis focused on techniques such as qualitative and quantitative analysis of existing and new markets, methods of market penetration, and problem solving via case studies. This course mainly consisted of group work and I was designated my group’s leader/coordinator. I not only greatly contributed to the team’s outcomes, but also coordinated meeting times, ensured timely completion of projects and regular attendance at meetings.
Business Acumen – During my time at college and university thus far, I have studied various aspects of commerce along with marketing including accounting, transportation and logistics, finance, organizational behavior, human resources, and statistics. My efforts have resulted in an overall A- average in these courses. Such diverse exposure to different aspects of business would allow me to work well as a part of a multi- disciplinary team and to collaborate with other divisions.
Interpersonal Skills – From my past work experiences at Winners and HSBC, I have fulfilled roles that require strong interpersonal skills. I have learned to work well with both the people in front of and behind the counter. Being in a team based environment, I worked with a wide variety of people. Also, working in high volume stores granted me the experience to deal with the most difficult customers. As a result, I was acknowledged and promoted to shift supervisor at Winners at the recommendation of my peers.
Overall, my combination of work experience and education will be a valuable addition to your team. I would be thrilled to discuss my qualifications with you further at your convenience. I look forward to hearing from you!
Sincerely,
Susie Who BCom Undergraduate, Marketing and International Business Sauder School of Business
