MINUTES, HENDERSON CITY COUNCIL REGULAR MEETING, WEDNESDAY, MAY 15, 2013

Meeting called to order at 7:00 P.M. by Mayor Paul Menne at the community meeting room. Present were council members Randall Tiegs, Kelly Braun, and Jeff Steinborn.

Motion Steinborn, seconded Braun approve minutes from the April 17, 2013 meeting. Motion carried

City Administrator Berberich reported on proposed correspondence to Sibley County for the ARMER grant, proposed correspondence on the 1900 building; the upcoming water information meeting and the updated activity report.

Motion Tiegs, seconded Braun to approve the invoices to be submitted to Sibley County for the ARMER grant match and administration. Motion carried.

Motion Tiegs, seconded Braun to approve the letter to be submitted to the 1900 school group. Motion carried.

Council Member Steinborn reported on Sibley County EDA activities and goals being established by the new director.

Berberich report that Joseph R. Brown day is scheduled for May 11, 2013

The Personnel committee recommended increasing wages for employees Nick Pollack and Lindsey Dhaene by $.50 per hours due to meeting achieving certification requirements.

Motion Tiegs, seconded Steinborn to accept the personnel committee recommendation to increase wages for Lindsey Dhaene to $16.00 per hour and Nick Pollack to $17.50 per hour effective May 1, 2013 due to meeting city clerk and water certification requirements. Motion carried.

Mayor Menne discussed Chamber of Commerce items.

Motion Tiegs, seconded Braun to approve the April 2013 end of month report. Motion carried

Motion Braun, seconded Tiegs to approve Resolution 2013-8 to pay EVOLUTION MEDIA & DESIGN, bill for 61.56; motion carried with Jeff Steinborn abstaining.

Berberich went over current cash balances.

Motion Braun, seconded Steinborn to approve the applications of Denise Maus and Teresa Kleist to use Allanson’s Park June 14 and August 10; motion carried.

Motion Braun, seconded Steinborn to approve the revised meeting schedule; motion carried.

Mayor Menne adjourned the meeting at 7:25 P.M.
