CAREER OBJECTIVE My career objective is to make a meaningful contribution to the quality of American education. I will do this through strong leadership and by creating valued change within the strategic context of the larger community. As an educator, I will be invaluable to any organization that is a community of learners, dedicated to high quality goods and services that meet the needs of its customers.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE Strategic Planning & Community Building  Co-facilitated the development of a strategic plan with widespread community involvement for the largest public school district in the state of Indiana.  Co-designed a model for organizational transformation that incorporates strategic planning, community building, continuous improvement and personal growth.

Systems Design & Project Management  Co-designed & led district team to implement Select Schools, a controlled choice approach to federally-ordered school desegregation, including student assignment and transportation.  Designed & implemented the first program evaluation department for the school district.  Oversee state licensing redesign field testing & transition for beginning & experienced teachers.

Management, Supervision & Continuous Improvement  Superintendent’s cabinet member nine years, state licensing agency senior staff two years.  Directed departments of up to fifty staff members, monitored contracts up to $1.3 million.

Program Evaluation, Research & Data Analysis  Conducted hundreds of program evaluations or studies for four different organizations.  Use many microcomputer programs & regularly design specifications for mainframe programs.

Professional Development  Planned and conducted many workshops in the areas mentioned above for staff & clients.  Taught and advised doctoral students in the field of educational leadership.  Lead staff person for redesign of teacher relicensing based on Professional Growth Plans.
