2016 Music Department Disney Trip Discipline Contract

As a participant on the Annville-Cleona Music Department trip to Disney World in Orlando, Florida Nov. 26-Nov. 20, 2016, you are a representative of our school and of our community. You are expected to be on your best behavior for the entire duration of the trip. As this is a school trip, ALL school district rules apply at ALL times.

CONDUCT ON BUSES AND PLANE: 1. Students may not change buses. 2. Students must stay in seats while bus is moving. 3. Students may only use personal multimedia devices with headphones. 4. Students must be courteous and polite to the bus drivers/flight attendants at all times. 5. Students must remain seated while on the plane.

CONDUCT IN HOTEL 1. Students must be aware that they are not the only patrons in the hotel. Students should keep room doors closed & locked at all times and voices to a minimum. 2. Students may not change room assignments. 3. Students must stay in their own rooms. At NO time for any reason should a student be in a room other than his/her own. Boys are not allowed in girls’ rooms or other boys’ rooms. Girls are not allowed in boys’ rooms or other girls’ rooms. Socializing is to occur only in the common areas of the resort. 4. Curfew will be either 10:30 PM, 11:00PM or 11:30PM daily as indicated on the itinerary. Students may not leave their rooms after curfew. The Orlando Police have instituted an 11:00PM curfew for Sunday through Thursday and a 12:00AM curfew for Friday and Saturday. A $300 fine will be imposed by local authorities for each infraction in addition to school disciplinary action. 5. TV/music volume should be kept to a minimum. 6. If a refrigerator is in the room, students should not use it as the contents are NOT free. Use the vending machines that are substantially cheaper. 7. Students must make long distance calls home from a cell phone or pay phone and not from their room phones. Long distance service will not be available on room phones. 8. Food of any kind is not permitted to be delivered into rooms. A wide variety of food is available at the Port Orleans Resort food court.

CONDUCT AT DISNEY 1. All rules and regulations enforced in school will be enforced at Disney. 2. Students may not leave the theme park that we are attending for the day. 3. Students are to follow the hourly itinerary. Students should have a watch or some other time telling device and are to be ON TIME all of the time. Arrive at meeting places early – to be on time is to be LATE!

GENERAL RULES AND REGULATIONS 1. Foul language will not be tolerated. 2. Music devices without headphones are not permitted. 3. Personal music devices such as iPods are permitted, but should not be played on the plane during take off and landing. 4. Students may bring laptops, netbooks, or iPads at their own risk. Neither the music department nor the school district will be responsible for lost of stolen personal items. 5. Students should dress in a tasteful manner – ALL SCHOOL DRESS CODE RULES ARE IN EFFECT IN DISNEY. No distasteful t-shirts or sweatshirts should be worn. (OVER) 6. Students should not buy any type of souvenir at Disney that violates the school policy for possession of a weapon.

Conduct on a trip of this magnitude is of the utmost importance. Misbehavior will not be tolerated. Major infractions of the above stated rules as well as the Annville-Cleona School District Code of Conduct will result in consequences imposed by local authorities of Orlando, being sent home at the parents’ expense, and suffering penalties imposed by school and local legal authorities.

I have read and understand the above Discipline Contract. I agree with the policy and understand the need for its strict enforcement during the trip to Disney. I agree to fully comply with this policy.
