USPA Staff Affairs Committee Meeting May 7, 2015, 12:30 – 1:30 p.m.

Met to discuss and finalize Spring Custodial Breakfast and Assembly details. Ted introduced Robin Allerding as a potential new committee member. Ted presented the planned schedule for the assembly.

Custodial Breakfast, Wed., 5/13, 7:30 – 9:30 a.m. – Talon Room (Bldg. 16) – we will meet at 7 a.m. to begin set up. Jennifer, Melinda, Sunshine, Debby and Ted to attend and manage event. Anyone else interested in helping is welcome.

President Delaney unable to attend breakfast, so Tom Serwatka, VP Chief of Staff, will speak, along with Tim Giles, Director of Continuing Education, and Men’s Basketball Associate Head Coach Bobby Kennen.

Spring Assembly, Wed., 5/13, 1 – 3 p.m. – Student Union Ballroom (Bldg. 58) – we will meet at 12 p.m. to begin set up and decorating for the assembly. Maria, Dee and Barbara will man the registration table. If someone is dressed in Osprey gear, they will write name on slip of paper for Osprey drawing (blanket is prize). Melinda and Debby will watch over the ice cream and drinks, collecting the tickets for the door prize drawings.

Discussed making centerpieces out of UNF t-shirts and basketballs. We will put a post-it on the bottom of one chair at each table to indicate who gets the gift bag. Must be present to win all prizes except for Facebook drawing.

Discussed photographer; Robin is willing to take pictures at the assembly (breakfast, too?)

Ted mentioned financial workshops, having sign-up sheet for those interested.

Action Items

Ted to bring lists and alphabetical signs, pens, tickets, and misc. signs and posters for decorating.

Sunshine will print up Continue the March Madness! Let’s go, Ospreys! signs to hang. Debby will contact Talon Room and Student Ballroom to see what material can be used for hanging signs.

Debby will check with Sunshine regarding Facebook prize.

Robin to make sample gift bag for centerpiece and share with Ted. We’ll send out an e-mail for help making them next Monday.

Put post-it note on bottom of one chair at each table.

Robin to take photos of prize winners, speakers, etc.

Ted to check into sign-up sheets for financial workshops/advising. Need to make sure we use those companies already approved.
