Good Morning! Happy First Day of December!

Good Morning! Happy first day of December!

I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving, and look forward to the Christmas holidays! The tree is up and house is decorated. Since I didn't get to do this last year it was fun opening boxes, it was alsmost like Christmas! This month brings some travel next week as Ray and I head for Manhattan to attend our grandson's granduation from Kansas State University with a degree in Construction Science and Management. We are so proud of Craig as he begins his career based in the Kansas City area.

December also brings get-togethers and celebrations with friends and family. I will be hosting the Alpha Delta Christmas party on December 21st . Our family get-together on Christmas will be held at our son's home north of Winfield. Fun times that I cherish.

I found this Christmas poem I would like to share with you.

Christmas Now and Then

Well, it is December, and Christmas is almost here Another happy Christmas for family and good cheer There will be tables loaded with turkeys, hams and sweets We know there will be more than we could ever eat

There will be a big tree shining so bright With beautiful decorations and pretty shiniy lights Under that tree will be presents galore So many you would wonder how there could be anything left in the store

Christmas now is really so much fun But gosh there is just too much for everyone My thoughts go back to a cold Christmas long ago To a family not blessed with riches and gold

Our little tree was kind of skimpy, with some ribbons and a few shiny balls But to us it stood magnificent, the greatest of them all Under that tree was a present for me I could hardly wait as I would open it with glee

There was not a lot of famcy food on that table, times were kind of tough But I was happy, and for me it was enough I was so thankful as I thanked the Lord above I knew what I had was paid for with Daddy's hard work and Mama's love

I'm thankful that I now have so much and my blessings are many And it is good to live in this great land of plenty But I would gladly give every material thing I own To have one more Chrismas with my Mom and Dad at home We all need to stop and be thankful for what we have. May the Angels visit your home today with healing, blessings and miracles!

I wish each and everyone of you a very Merry Christmas and a most Joyous New Year!!
