PRESBYTERY OF HUDSON RIVER COMMITTEE on MINISTRY 9 DECEMBER 2014, MT. KISCO The Committee on Ministry met on 7 October and 3 November 2014 and recommends the following:

FOR ACTION:

1. Dissolve the pastoral relationship between the First Presbyterian Church of Yorktown and Rev. Charles Lynn Low, Jr. effective December 31, 2014; and call Rev. Tamara Jane Seidel as 3/4 time co-pastor effective January 1, 2015; and call Rev. Charles Lynn Low, Jr. as 3/4 time co-pastor effective January 1, 2015 with the following Terms of Call: for Charles Low – Salary 63000; Pension and Benefits 22050; Social Security Allowance 4820; Medical Deductible 2000; Presbytery Group Life 201; Additional Life Insurance 1300; Professional Expenses 1500, by voucher; Cell phone 720; Study Leave 2 weeks and 1500, by voucher; Auto expense 3375, by voucher; 31 days vacation and for Tamara Seidel – Salary 63000; Pension and Benefits 22433; Social Security Allowance 4702; Presbytery Group Life 201; Dental Insurance 1540; Professional Expenses 1500, by voucher; Cell phone 720; Study Leave 2 weeks and 1500, by voucher; Auto Expense 3375, by voucher; 31 days vacation, if the way be clear. At a Congregational Meeting held 19 October 2014 the congregation voted to end the solo pastor position at Yorktown and begin the new co-pastor model. 2. Approve that the ministry at Bedford Hills Correctional Institute as Volunteer Chaplain in which Dorothy Muller is engaged be validated. She will then be ordained to that ministry. 3. Approve Commissioning of June Tompkins, CRE as Parish Associate at Croton Falls and validate the position, if the way be clear, effective 9 December 2014. 4. Approve the attached revised Manse Sale Policy.

CONSENT AGENDA: 1. Affirm and bless the Covenant Community relationship between Hudson River Presbytery and Iglesia Cristiana El Sembrador, if the way be clear, and approve the 23 November 2014, 3:00 p.m. Celebration Service of closure for the Hughsonville Presbyterian Church as it becomes the new home for the Iglesia Cristiana El Sembrador. 2. Appoint David Gregory Moderator at Milton effective 3 November 2014. 3. Appoint Lori Knight Whitehouse Moderator at Haverstraw effective 3 November 2014. 4. Approve Angela Maddalone and Daniel Fullerton as moderators at Stony Point effective 3 November 2014. 5. Approve the following Administrative Commission for William Jack Cabaness at Katonah, 9 November 2014, 4 PM: Rob Trawick, Moderator; Susan Andrews; Dorinda Violante; Don Hopper, Mt. Kisco; Jim Schmidt, Katonah. 6. Approve Perry Wootten as Transitional Pastor at Ossining, if the way be clear, for 6 months effective 14 October 2014; terms meet minimums. 7. Approve Perry Wootten to labor within bounds of Hudson River. 8. Approve the following Installation Administrative Commission for Erin Moore, 30 November, 2 PM, Chester: Rob Trawick; Moderator; Patricia Calahan; Peter Johnson; David Kingsley; John Ravert, Chester. 9. Approve the attached report on Validated ministers and their roles. 10. Approve validation of the Cross Cultural Catalyst position, job description attached. Rev. Sarah Henkel fills that position. It is a collaborative positon with White Plains PC. 11. Approve Margery Rossi for Pulpit Supply list. 12. Approve candidate Luanne Panarotti for Pulpit Supply list. 13. Approve transfer of Donna Jackson to New Castle Presbytery, Maryland effective 28 October 2014 so that she may serve as pastor at West Nottingham Presbyterian Church.

For information:  Triennial Leadership Conversation was conducted at Mahopac on 21 October 2014.  End of First Year Review was conducted with Jane Ann Groom and Dobbs Ferry 14 October 2014.
