Playing in the Eastern Conference of the Hockey League, the Steelheads are a junior hockey team that plays out of the Paramount Fine Foods Centre, formerly known as the Hershey Centre.

Job Description:

We are currently seeking individuals who are passionate about sports and are actively looking to gain experience in the industry. The ideal applicant will possess strong a communications background, with a keen eye for attention to detail. As a part of the Steelheads team, you will be involved in the day-to-day business operation of the organization. A successful candidate will be responsible for creating all graphics, contributing to website and newsletter content, generating new content for all media platforms, updates via social media and various event operations and other duties as required.

Job Duties:

• Create and implement all graphics for the Steelheads organization • Responsible for generating and creating engaging content for all social media platforms • Assist in marketing and promotions • Act as media liaison for players and coaching staff o Assist with interview requests and PR plans o Putting together social media publications of coaches/player interviews • Assist with video editing • Assist with marketing initiatives surrounding the

Position Requirements:

• All candidates must be completing internship as part of a requirement for a post-secondary program • Adobe Photoshop/InDesign experience a necessity • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, WordPress, considered an asset • Available Monday-Friday and for sporadic weekend work • Strong attention to detail • Excellent time management/organizational skills • Commitment to integrity and hard work • Well-rounded written/verbal communication skills • Ability to work effectively in team and independent roles • Ability to create and edit video content
