Tidy Towns Grant Guidelines

The purpose of this grant is to assist Tidy Towns groups in their efforts to improve their town or village and facilitate its participation in the National Tidy Towns competition. A grant up to a maximum of €1,000 or 90% of the cost of the works may be made available to successful applicants. The amount of grant paid to an individual group will depend on take-up of the scheme in the county and overall expenditure incurred by each group.

Conditions & Guidelines of the Scheme:

• Tidy Towns committees must enter the National Tidy Towns Competition and submit proof of this with their application.

• Tidy Towns committee must have a current Bank or Credit union account in the name of the association.

• Groups should be affiliated to Meath Public Participation Network.

• Labour costs are ineligible for funding.

• Groups/Organisations can only apply for one grant , multiple applicants will not be accepted.

• Recipients may be asked for a report on completion of particular projects.

• Tax Number/Charity Number is required for all grants.

• All funded projects/activities must be located within County Meath.

• All projects must display recognition of Meath County Council’s support.
