The Bloody Beetroots VENERDì 14 FEBBRAIO 2014 Sir Bob Cornelius Rifo, più famoso come The Bloody Beetroots, nato nello stesso anno del punk rock (come sottolinea il tatuaggio "1977" che ha sul petto), ha pubblicato il 17 settembre il suo album "HIDE", su The Bloody Beetroots etichetta Ultra Music/Sony Music. The Bloody Beetroots in pochi anni ha imposto il suo stile ed è diventato un punto di riferimento per molti Il suo nuovo album "Hide" artisti a livello mondiale. "Romborama", il suo disco di debutto uscito quattro anni fa, ha venduto oltre 2 milioni di copie in tutto il mondo. LA REDAZIONE "HIDE" contiene 15 brani e vede la partecipazione di numerosi artisti, tra cui Paul McCartney and Youth nel primo singolo Out Of Sight, il chitarrista Peter Frampton vincitore di un Grammy, Tommy Lee fondatore dei Mötley Crüe, il rapper di Brooklyn Theophilus London e il cantautore australiano Sam Sparro. Produttore solitario in studio di registrazione, live performer insieme a una band al completo con The Bloody Beetroots LIVE, nonché DJ con il The Bloody Beetroots DJ set, Sir Bob Cornelius Rifo è un pioniere che reinventa il panorama della musica elettronica. Sir Bob Cornelius Rifo a.k.a. The Bloody Beetroots è sempre stato un fenomeno anomalo che ha unito le sonorità elettroniche e dance ad atmosfere che trovano le radici nel punk. Dopo aver mosso i primi passi in una garage-punk band italiana, nel 2007 Rifo ha fondato The Bloody Beetroots e in pochi anni ha ottenuto il totale supporto della scena electro house mondiale, compresi dei pesi massimi come Etienne de Crecy e Alex Gopher in Europa, o di Steve Aoki in America. With the rise of DAW- based composition in popular music styles, many artists’ sole experience of musical creation is through the computer screen. I assert that the particular sonic visualizations of the DAW propagate certain assumptions about music, influencing aesthetics and adding new visually- based parameters to the creative process. I believe many of these new parameters are greatly indebted to the visual structures, interactional dictates and standardizations (such as the office metaphor depicted by operating systems such as Apple’s OS and Microsoft’s Windows) of the Graphical User Interface (GUI). Whether manipulating text, video or audio, a user’s interaction with the GUI is usually structured in the same manner—clicking on windows, icons and menus with a mouse-driven cursor.
