“A lot of people have asked how can you squeeze another game at the end of a long season, but we see this as an honour... The Baabaas scored first after a perfectly-timed inside ball from Schalk Brits paved the way for the first try by Juan Manuel Leguizamon, the Argentina international, scoring against his countrymen inside The Baabaas were first to score in the second half three minutes. But then, in the space of slightly more with Siya Kolisi cantering over but a Julian Montoya than 20 minutes, Argentina scored four tries, all of try and Joaquin Diaz Bonilla conversion restored which were converted. • Annual Review 2019 Dear Supporters
Annual Review 2019 Dear Supporters Just over 18 months ago I invited a few of our loyal supporters and friends to a brain storming session on how we could improve what the LumoHawk Foundation does and how we could enhance the experience we try to share with not only our supporters, but also our beneficiaries. The response and the subsequent plan has been amazing to say the least, and Vision2020 was born. As much as 2019 was a tough year in South Africa, we have managed to grow and reach more children than ever before, and in doing so, I am hopeful that we are genuinely making a difference in our beautiful Rainbow Nation. Much of this has been the result of Rachel Blew (now Fourie) coming on board and bringing with her a real passion and zest for enhancing the lives of the children in our country. We enjoyed the incredible support of our long term supporters and we were also blessed to have brought on board a few major sponsors, for which we are truly grateful! The beginning of our journey involved the support of the University of Johannesburg and its students, and our growth through the year included the purchasing of the sophisticated machinery that has made the process of screening and testing incredibly efficient. As a result, we are able to reach thousands more children every year. There is no doubt that 2020 will be another tough year, not only in South Africa, but across the whole world. But we are well positioned to meet our goals in terms of how many children we screen and test, and the partnerships and collaborations we have established will ensure we reach even more of South Africa’s future leaders.
