Any behavior unbecoming camp staff will result in immediate dismissal. St. Sava Camp strictly prohibits alcoholic beverages, illegal drugs, fireworks, or weapons of any kind! Any violation of these rules will result in immediate expulsion from camp!
St. Sava Camp provides room and board for all staff. If other arrangements are made off the campgrounds, St. Sava Camp, the Metropolitanate of Midwestern America and Federation of Circles of Serbian Sisters assume no responsibility for any expenses that may occur.

SERBIAN ORTHODOX METROPOLITANATE OF MIDWESTERN AMERICA in cooperation with The Federation of Circles of Serbian Sisters of Midwestern America CAMP COUNSELOR JOB DESCRIPTION
By the nature of his/her responsibility and by the influence on the campers, a counselor is one of the most important persons in our Church camp. The term “Counselor” speaks for itself. Here is a guiding list of the counselor’s responsibilities:
1. Each counselor will be assigned to his/her own group, which shall not exceed more than ten campers. 2. The counselor will sleep in the same room with his/her group. 3. Counselors are to see that campers attend scheduled classes and all other activities. 4. Counselors are to attend church services with the campers and ensure that they are on time. Counselors should supervise their behavior in the church. 5. Counselors are to counsel the campers, and if a problem arises, they should consult with the camp director, camp chairman or co-chairman. 6. No verbal or physical punishment is allowed in the camp. 7. Counselors should set an example of Christian behavior for the campers. 8. Counselors may leave the premises only to accompany and supervise campers on field trips. 9. Counselors are to attend meetings called by the coordinator or the priests. 10. Counselors should report to the camp on Sunday by noon for an orientation meeting with the Camp Director. 11. Counselors must comply with the established dress code, as noted below:
THINGS TO BRING For Church Services: Long dress pants (no jeans) and polo or other nice shirt for men/boys. Women/girls must wear a dress or skirt (knee-length or longer), shirt, and a head covering Jeans, shorts (shorts above mid-thigh are unacceptable, no writing on the back side of shorts or pants) T-Shirts (halter, exposed midriff, cut-off sleeve and spaghetti-strap shirts are unacceptable) Gym shoes, sturdy walking shoes, beach/shower sandals Underwear and socks Modest ONE-PIECE swimsuit* Sweatshirt or sweater Pajamas and bathrobe Rain jacket or poncho Pillow, sheet and pillowcase and/or sleeping bag Towels, washcloth and beach towel Insect repellent and sunscreen (no aerosols, please) Toiletries: Comb, hairbrush, toothbrush and paste, soap, shampoo, deodorant, etc.
Any counselor wearing clothing deemed inappropriate by the camp clergy or coordinator will be told to change immediately. If they do not oblige they will be sent home!
