KSD Assessment Office 2016-17 SBA/ELPA21 School Test Coordinator Checklist Activities BEFORE Testing 1. Review and have handy before and during test administration:  ELPA21 Test Administration Manual Spring 2017  Guidelines on Tools Supports and Accommodations (10/03/2016) 2. Complete and return these forms to the Assessment Office:  Your school’s ELPA21 Testing schedule  Security Report—School Security Test Assurance Form  Training Log for State Assessments 3. Work with school tech staff to see that computers are set up and configured for ELPA21 testing. 4. Count and test headsets and boom mics; order and replace, if needed (Contact Multilingual Dept.) 5. Coordinate with ELL and Special Ed staff at your school to make sure that students are assigned appropriate supports and accommodations; make sure these are entered in TIDE student settings. 6. Plan and coordinate ELPA21 training for teachers/proctors at your school. 7. Check the ELPA21 roster that the Assessment Office has prepared for your school – know how to print tickets and update rosters, as needed. 8. Students need to take the ELPA21 Training Test and practice using mics before the ELPA Summative. 9. Review testing schedules. Make sure there is time and a place for students needing extra time. 10. Verify that the necessary materials for each test segment are available, including scratch paper. 11. Make sure that all students have a good testing environment – check seating arrangements. 12. Cover any classroom material that could provide help during the test. 13. Post Do Not Disturb Signs English, Spanish on doors and hallways as needed. 14. Student testing areas need to be cleared of books and other materials. 15. Secure a place away from the testing location for students to place cell phones, other electronic devices, and personal bags. All cell phones must be turned in and turned off before testing. 16. Restart computers the day before testing – they must be 100% charged or plugged in during the test. 17. Print tickets right before testing (15-20 minutes) and make sure students are assigned to the correct online tests and supports and accommodations. Make sure students know how to log in.

Activities DURING Test Administration 1. Coordinate testing during the assessment window and monitor test completion in TIDE. 2. Respond to questions from ELPA21 proctors and teachers regarding the test administration. 3. Report any need for appeals and irregularities, and send any questions to Assessment Office (7080). Activities AFTER Test Administration 1. Notify the Assessment Office when all school-level ELPA21 test activities have been completed. 2. TAs should collect all secure testing materials from students before they leave the testing area, including test tickets, scratch paper, K – 1 Writing DFAs, and return these materials to you. 3.
