Scholarship Information and Application

Eligibility Requirements

The Chican@ & Latin@ Recognition Ceremony Committee (CLRCC) is offering scholarships for all California State University, Sacramento students.

The scholarships are designed to provide students with the tools and resources they need to succeed in attaining a higher education degree.

Scholarship awards are to be used for educational expenses. Scholarship awardees must provide proof of enrollment and paid registration as a current Spring 2007 student.

Applications missing any supporting documents, or who do not follow outlined instructions, will not be considered. The application material includes the application, the letter of reference and the essay. Applications may be mailed or e-mailed.

Selection Criteria Applications are evaluated by a committee of faculty and staff on the following criteria:

 Community involvement with the Chicana@ and/or Latin@ population  History of consistent and active participation in public service activities related to the Chicana@ and/or Latin@ community  Leadership skills in working with the Chicana@ and/or Latin@ community

Application deadline: May 4, 2007

Notification of Award: Scholarship awards will be announced by mail and presented at the Chican@ and Latin@ Graduation Recognition Ceremony. CLRCC will disburse scholarship monies directly to the scholarship recipients. APPLICATION Page 1
