The Caf- short for the cafeteria, located in the Campus Center where food is located.

Courtyard Café- located downstairs in the Campus Center where many people meet for some coffee or a concert (hosted by the Campus Activity Board on Wednesday nights).

PO- your post office box, containing your mail. located downstairs in the Campus Center building.

Ring Road- surrounding the Gustavus Campus is a circular road that students call Ring Road and is noted as College Avenue on a map

P-ball- short for President’s Ball (where President Peterson attends and greets students) and is an event held every spring hosted by the Campus Activity board. It is located in the cities and is described as a college-like prom and all students are welcome to attend the event.

Erbs and Gerbs- short for Erbert’s and Gerbert’s, a “fast food” restaurant that makes subs, soups and bread. The store stays open until 2am to serve the residents of St. Peter and to better accommodate those students who crave a late night sandwich. They also deliver to the college at no fee.

Complex- a residential hall on the north side of campus that is connected to three residential buildings that houses upper-classmen. they are: Sorenson Hall, Gibbs Hall and North Hall.

7-Mile- located in Mankato, a stretch of the Minnesota River (7 miles long) where many Gustavus students are found for class activities or even just hanging out.

The Rock- located next to Old Main just up the hill. Students will paint the rock for activities, clubs, athletics and so forth throughout the year. Many students believe that without the paint on it, the rock is very small in size. The Dive- the old swimming pool located in the Campus Center (on the southern part). During the day students study and can watch television and on Friday nights are theme-oriented dances.

The Den- also called the Gustie Den, located downstairs in the campus center. Here are storages for many clubs and groups and also a place to design large posters for club and athletic events.

C in CC- short for Christmas in Christ Chapel. The event is held every December in Christ Chapel where most choral groups and bands play for an audience. This event is quite different than others because it is held for a weekend where many parents and guests attend during the weekend.

3 Flags- a common meeting place for many events to go off-campus. Located just outside of the cafeteria and the campus center. It is where the circle driveway meets the 3 flags.

SAO- short for the Student Activities Office, also home to the info desk. Located downstairs in the campus center. The Activities office helps fund many activities around campus and is in charge of the group called, the Campus Activity Board.

Admin- short for the Administration building, located next to Old Main and across from the Campus Center. This building is where you can cash your employment checks, visit the registrar and do any financial activities.

Res Life- short for Residential Life. Their office is located downstairs in the campus center and this is where your Area Coordinator’s office (Troy Seppelt) is, if you ever want to stop by and say “hi”.

SSC- short for Social Science Center, an academic building located in the middle of campus. The building is usually used for social science classes such as psychology and political science. CAB- short for the Campus Activity Board, funded by the SAO desk with a student-run group hosting events for students on-campus.
