Instructions for your students to get to access the even answers for:

Angel (Beginning Algebra), Jordan/Carson (Intermediate Algebra) and the Young (College Algebra) Texts via the web

On the top left side you will see a Library with Shared Documents. If you click on the Shared Documents tab, you will find your answers you are trying to access. That is all you need to do!

If a student is wishing to enter the Sharepoint site from the Metro Homepage they can go to:

http://www.mccneb.edu

Find the Student Resources on the right hand side of the homepage, look for the Student Resources Center link. Click on this link, under the Students Tools Menu find and click on: Sharepoint Access (New Site). You will be on the homepage of the MCC Faculty and Student Sharepoint site. Click on the Math link on the left side of the page. Then look for your course listed on the left side and click on it. At the top left side you will see a Library with Shared Documents. If you click on the Shared Documents tab, you will find your answers you are trying to access. That is all you need to do!

On campus, students or faculty should just be able to go to the website without having to enter their username and password.

Off campus, they will be asked for their username and password. It must be entered in this manner: mccnet\username and then your network password in the password box. The answers document is in a pdf format located in the Shared Once into the site, you will need to click on Shared Documents link on the left side of the page to access the pdf files containing the even answers.

If you are still having difficulty getting to the files in Sharepoint, you may have issues with your firewall. You may need to look at how to disable the firewall or change the settings.

Sometimes it may run a bit slowly so give it time to load.

Internet Explorer is the best browser to use. However Firefox (and others) will also work.

You will be asked for your username and password. It must be entered like the example shown below. A common mistake is using the wrong “slash” key; it must be the one above the Enter key.

If you are not asked for your username and password, please check this setting in IE:

Go to Tools, Internet Options. Click the Security Tab, the Custom Level button. Then scroll down to User Authentication. Automatic logon only in Intranet zone is the correct setting. If you cannot connect using Internet Explorer, try Firefox or another browser.

Your personal or work firewall may be another potential reason for not being able to connect to SharePoint.
