DECISION ITEMS -Club covering the fee for the District Assembly Approved

-Joint Membership for School District Personnel The Board would like to keep one membership/one person. John is going to talk to the school district.

NEW BUSINESS / DISCUSSION ITEMS -Rotarians at Work Day, April 24th We already have Rebuilding Together scheduled for that day. A second event if there is one? At this time rebuilding together only. -Fireside date: April 1, 15 or 22 (3 new members polled liked April 1st) April 1st at 6:30PM, Heavy Hor d’oeuvres at Bob and Bonnie Petersons -Huddle Foundation web collaboration site …Cathy Cathy will put together a committee to decide how to structure and the best use. -District to start accepting applications for matching grants on April 1st. Tell our committee people so we can get in first and have the best chance.

-Honorary/special Membership -discussion (consideration for Colin Peterson) John will talk to Collin and report back. Establish more definitive guidelines for Honorary Membership. - Youth Exchange …update on Cedric and Christine Cedric has three performances at Sunset left, 11,12 and 13th of March. Christine is doing fine in France -Vision Facilitation … update from Cathy Meeting on March 11th The topics of discussion will be, board organizational chart and fundraisers -Rotary Auction …recap from Jon Still crunching numbers. -Paul Harris Award for Rotarian at the Installation Banquet, …suggestions John is looking for suggestions -Tickets for Charity, Safeway Golf Classic, update from Jon No interest at this time at the club level -Committee Vacancies [Rotogram Chair and positions for next year) To be addressed at March 11th meeting at Cathy’s -Membership Update …Jean Marie Working on getting new members involved

REPORTS -Foundation --Charlie Charlie reported that the reconciliation of the foundation checkbook (From inception) by Leroy Bentley was very professional. Propose bylaw change of election of foundation officers in July to January previous. -Financial Report --Jon Visa fee up to 4.4%. Jon handed out copies of to date summary of income and expense report -Membership …stats from Ken …We need new productive members We are now 100 members and had 65% attendance last month CALENDAR ITEMS -Fireside, March xx -Rose Sale Delivery, April 1 & 2, -District Assembly, April 17th Washougal High School -Rebuilding Together, April 24th -District Conference, May 21-23, at Welches, Resort at the Mountain -Rotaractors World Panhandling Day, June 12th

OFFICER AND DIRECTOR UPDATES -If each Director could give a brief update on what is going on with each of the committees under their watch. -Also if each Director could let us know in which areas under their watch we could offer additional assistance.

Herb McDonnell - Group Study

Herb announced at the club that applications for team leaders and team members are being sort.

Sherre – WCS

WCS committee met and discussed District Assembly and Conference. The committee will host a class on how to apply for International Grants.

Mark Fryburg.- Ambassadorial Scholars

Nothing new to report.

John R - Youth Exchange The committee is in the final stages of determining who the 3rd family for Cedric will be. (Better late than never). The exciting thing is the two choices are both Rotary families, Doug Taylor or Larry Hanson are the choices. We should finalize in the next week or so.

Our next outbound Alexa, has been attending lunches for the last several weeks. We now have a schedule for folks to volunteer to pick her up at Beaverton High. She will be going to Brazil for her exchange.

Larry - Friendship Exchange So far nothing. I looks like Peru hasn't participated in RFE so I'm not sure where we are headed. Bob B - WCS Requests

No change. Next month there will be announcement dates for the Spring review.

Jim Parker: We need a new person to take over from Jim Rauh as PR person.

Chris Winn: Rose sale going fine.

Dave Buchner: Associated General Contractors will again be participating in the vocational scholarship program

Dr Kris: We have 24 applicants for scholarships. They will meet to interview at Beaverton City library. Dr Kris sought and received authorization for expense of copying the scholarship applications.

Buzz Marron: Beach weekend is May 14,15 and 16. St Mary’s project tentatively set for this coming Saturday

Josh Cox, from the Rotoact Club of Beaverton was present and thanked us for our support.
