Human Body Webquest Introduction The Human Body is an amazing machine, with the ability to heat itself, to fight off invaders, and do any number of tasks. The parts of the body are numerous, and they all have to work together to maintain the functions of Life. In class, we have been studying the Digestive System. Now, you put your knowledge to work!

PS - Be sure to read through the entire Webquest assignment before starting!! There are questions and other important information that you don’t want to miss in the other sections!!

Task You are a medical student and have been asked to develop a portfolio on various body systems. Each medical student will also be given a different medical mystery to solve, using the knowledge that you have of the body systems and the various resources available to you. Your portfolio must be complete with drawings, information, and the procedure you took to finding the solutions to your illness.

We will have a “Presentation Day” where students will have the opportunity to present their medical mystery and how they solved it to help the patient!

Procedure The portfolio should include a Table of Contents (all the body systems and Medical Mystery), The 7 Body System sections, a Medical Mystery section, and Work Cited. Remember to keep it organized and neat - you can use construction paper, type up everything, use a binder, however you think you would like to present the information. To complete this portfolio you are to use your textbook (an excellent source of information) and a minimum of 1 online resource (go to the resources section and there are plenty but you can always find your own!) - remember to cite correctly. References for all of your information and photos/pictures used in the body system sections and medical mystery section must be cited using APA Format Citation. Remember to use http://www.calvin.edu/library/knightcite/index.php if you need help!!

For each body system you will have to answer the following questions and present it in some way (do not just list the answers) - I have created these questions in a Word Document so you can answer them directly on their to keep you organized!
