TISSUE BOX COUNTRY PROJECT

Substandard products will receive less than 100%. Not following instructions will result in even lower points. Here is how it works: . You must NEATLY decorate the box with construction or butcher paper or paint the box/paper. . Be sure to cut a hole in the construction paper which allows the tissues to be dispensed. . On the box you will display a Spanish speaking country you choose in class . There must be visuals to convey the country you are doing – famous people, food, culture, photos, diagrams, charts, drawings, etc. . Be creative, neat and colorful. . All information displayed on the box must be CORRECT. . On the bottom of the box place a sheet of paper with the following information typed

REQUIRED INFORMATION:  Name of the country  The capital and other important cities  Where is it? (Continent, ocean, etc...)  How can you get there? (Plane, cruise, train, bus, etc…)  What denomination of money do they use? What is the exchange rate between their money and US currency?  What language(s) is/are spoken there? Is there more than one offical language?  When is the best time/season to travel there? Why?  Special food and drinks  Topography: rivers, mountains, waterfalls, lakes, islands, volcanos, deserts…  The economy: main products  Government  Flag  Religion  Famous people: Why is each one famous? What do you know about each one?  Interés cultural SUGGESTED INFORMATION:  What is the country like?  Nightlife, clubs, casinos, concerts, etc…  Museums  Historical locations  Is the country well-known for something/someone?  Famous sporting events  Music and Dance Festivals  Shopping: Special products, crafts, souvenirs?
