INSIDE FUEL SALES REPRESENTATIVE SELECTION PROFILE POSITION SUMMERY:

The primary responsibility of our Inside Fuel Sales Representative is to:

• Provide information to sales department in order to develop penetration within existing accounts and on lost customers

• Answer inbound calls from customers and sales representatives to place orders, receive fuel quotes

• Solicit new business by contacting potential customers; those who have never purchased and contact dormant accounts

• Assist sales reps and supervisor with any special projects and new opportunities

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide information to sales department in order to develop penetration within existing accounts and on lost customers

• Assist in maintain current customer information in MAS2000

• Attend all Sales meetings

• Maintain ongoing communication with required retention activities on company’s top 20 percent/Platinum customers

• Write up fuel orders, enter orders in to system

• Margin Management – pricing delivered orders for billing department

• Assist customers with questions or inquiries

• Offer price quotes to customers and sales representatives

• Customer liaison with dispatch for ETA’s on loads

• Monitor market changes and price changes thru DTN

• Send out credit applications as requested

• Make loading decisions based on vendor price changes and contracts/deals

• Set goals that are in alignment with supervisor and company goals

• Follow up on credit applications

• Move loads based on High pay off

• Notify dispatch and Dallas of price changes

• Re-Price customers when vendors have price changes

• Practice exceptional customer service.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: High School Diploma

Some college is preferred

EXPERIENCE:

Inside fuel sales experience in the industrial transportation market and oil field is preferred

SKILLS:

• Excellent planning and organizational skills (Develop and accomplish goals – Annual, Quarterly, Monthly, Day), ability to multi-task, ability to prioritize work

• Very good communication skills; written, verbal, provide feedback on goals and major projects

• Excellent customer service skills, build rapport with co-workers and customers
