1. OPENING The meeting opened at 7:12p.m.
2. INTRODUCTIONS: Introductions were made for the new participants and the meeting was chaired by Donna Duggan
3. APPROVAL OF MINUTES for June, 2011. Moved: Sue Beazley Seconded: Roy Snook
4. FINANCIAL REPORT a. The Chair, Donna Duggan reported the following financial information:

Fees owed by Lockview, Sommett, and JLI.
5. BUSINESS ARISING FROM THE MINUTES None.
6. REGIONAL DIRECTOR’S REPORT:
Trevor discussed KISISS, accuracy of data base. If there are any changes let him know so he can make sure information is accurate. Basketball Regionals: All schools need to have the information in for the and girls JV Regional schedule. Two Provincials are Boys Division Four, and JV Boys. Wrestling is at Duncan McMillianon on Feb 22nd for Capital East. Forrest Heights is Feb 23rd for Capital West. Dianne will send out a note mid March about the Huge A Noble Award. Think about a candidate to nominate. Ted Wallace was the last to get this award.
7. New Business
Girls Soccer: Check with coaches and let Roy know of any no play dates as soon as possible. $575 for fees due at first coaches meeting first week of September.
Keep records of all your fees then give them to Donna in one lump sum if you are coordinating a sport. All schools are able to play in the division one leagues no matter what division they are in.
Court case ongoing now where Metro body is being sued from a track and field event three years ago.
Golf tournament at Lost Creek $100 per person for the Nancy Tokaryk Scholarship Fund. Sue will send out information.
DOE cancelling PE 12, discussion as to what schools think. There will be a meeting on Thursday about it. Contact Cathy Carreau with concerns.
8. COORDINATOR’S REPORTS
a. Boys Hockey-Auburn: Colin Bush/Frank Hubley All is good.
b. Girls Hockey- JLI: David Algee Reschedule as soon as possible if the weather is an issue any games. Keep Dave in the loop. Regionals are February 26th at BMO, cost for this will be out soon and the Provincials have been changed to Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Encourage all coaches to play games.
c. Wrestling- Lock Steve Wilcox Feb 9th Metros. Information was sent out this week.
d. Cheerleading-PA: Bob Mayo PA and AUB are the only two teams. The Regionals are April 10th at PA.
e. Field Hockey– SJA – Scott Pellerine/Sue McMaster She will send out information soon and season starts first week of March.
f. Skiing – CH– Pat Hatfield Information was given out. To cover Sub cost each school is charged $40 for the ski season. Discussed what to do about fees. Metro will cover a portion of the cost.
g. Snowboarding – CIT – Steve Harris Run by Dan Ray. Zeno MacDonald will take care of registration and stats. h. Badminton – CIT – Steve Harris City is March 27th and 28th and the Regional is April 3rd at Citadel.
County will be around the same date. Steve Willcox will send out information. It will be hosted at Sackville High. i. Boys Basketball – PA – Bob Mayo/ Brad Martin Still looking for a host for the Regionals. Playoffs are Feb 11th 1 to 4 get a bye 5 to 12 to qualify for top 8 tournament. Possible host is Lockview. j. Girls Basketball – CPA – Mark Andrecyk Information for play offs has been given out at meeting. Friday Feb 8th is the start of playoffs. The high seed is the host and they pay for refs. All games are at 6 pm. Snow day goes to next day for the game. Finals are Friday Feb 15th k. Boys J.V. Basketball – FT - Peter Moore Playoffs will be week of February 4th all six teams are in the playoffs. Top team host the game, make sure all games are done by then. l. Girls J..V. Basketball – SH – Annette Sherlock Feb 4th 6pm 6vs 3 and 5th vs 4th Rest will be sent out by Annette. Teams are reseeded as playoffs go on. m. Boys Rugby - CH - Steve Lenihan Steve is putting together a proposal of JV league 10 per side for schools who cannot put a team in the main league. Season will be the same as last year. Bill will be sent out in advance.
n. Girls Rugby - HW - Craig Thornton Similar to last year. Looking at an April start up. Information will be sent out soon. Lockview tournament will be April 6th...Icebreaker. o. Curling - Roy Snook - HW/ AG McRae and Melina MacNeil Collected list of all teams, games begin Wednesday February 20th. Adjournment-
