Board members are encouraged to recruit new New Board Members Candidate Chris Severson was introduced All members to complete the board Harley was the guest student representative. Harley, a 10th-grade student at IDEA School, will be phased-in as a student representative to assume the position of graduating seniors. Student Representative’s The students have embraced the Myths and Legends unit of study. Jacob Eckmann Report Jacob is planning the 2nd annual scavenger hunt. Board members/area families are invited to attend/participate. October 17, starting at 10 a.m., lunch at noon, ending at four or five. Jacob will send out an email.

Advisor’s Smooth start to IDEA School’s 5th year Jacques Du Report Myths & Legends unit off to a good start Vair Tuesday, October 13, 2015, Project Palooza, 6 to 7:30 p.m. Friday, October 16, 2015 – whole school (54 students) will take a field trip to Madison Space Place / Capital Still waiting for ACT Aspire/ACT/Badger Scores Ambassador group created a handbook over the summer Creative Activity Board (CAB) planning a lock-in, scavenger hunt, defined the criteria for CAB and events Student mentors had a great boot camp. For two days this summer, 12 existing students guided 12 new students through the project- based learning process. Till we can maintain four advisor positions, advisors were asked to identify any responsibilities they carry that could be transferred to others (i.e. shoveling snow). At Valley View, advisors don’t have direct instruction responsibilities. Every block of instruction is goal oriented. For instance, physical education enrichment could be provided by a relief teacher for a six-week Zumba class
