CATALOG STATEMENT: Completion of the Certificate of Achievement Transfer Studies (IGETC) in addition to major preparation courses and electives to complete 60 units required for admission, will permit a student who is undecided about a specific college choice to transfer from the community college to a campus in the University of California (UC) or a California State University (CSU) system. Please note that completion of the IGETC is not a guarantee for admission to the UC nor is it the only way to fulfill the lower division, general education requirements of the UC or CSU prior to transfer.
