Call for Participation in the Procedure for CCTS 3 & NDR 3 artefacts Publication Project

UN/CEFACT is pleased to announce that it is proceeding to execute the Procedure for CCTS 3 & NDR 3 artefacts Publication Project, which was approved by the FMG on May 2, 2011. The Confluence page for this project is being set up and will be communicated as soon as it is complete. The purpose of the project is to define the procedures for the creation and publication of CCTS 3 and NDR 3 artefacts. The scope covers the entire process of creation of CCTS and NDR 3.0 artefacts, from inception to publication, including modeling, harmonization, schema production, audit, and publication. Further details of the project are provided in the Annex. UN/CEFACT is inviting interested parties to participate in defining the Procedure for CCTS 3 and NDR 3 Artefacts Publication. This is a cross permanent group project designed to create the procedures and initial publications for CCTS 3.0 and NDR version 3.0.

The expertise of participants should include specialised competence in the knowledge in standards production and publication and awareness of implementers’ expectations.Heads of Delegations may nominate technical experts from their constituency to participate in the work Participants are expected to contribute to the work based solely on their expertise and to comply with UN/CEFACT’s Code of Conduct and the UN/CEFACT Intellectual Property Rights Policy.

Procedure for CCTS 3 & NDR 3 artefacts Publication

1. Objectives

1.1 Purpose The purpose of the project is to define the procedures for the creation and publication of CCTS 3 and NDR 3 artefacts.

1.2 Scope The complete process from inception to publication for CCTS 3 and NDR 3 artefacts including but not limited to:

- Harmonization of core components - Verification of libraries and other artefacts - Definition of the publication bundle - Publication schedules

The project will define how to implement ODP for CCTS 3 and NDR 3 artefacts. It will take into account the requirements linked to CCTS 2.01 artefacts publication. 2. Deliverables The deliverables from this project will include: Procedure definition Description of the deliverables at each step First publication (CII, eTendering, CFEM) 3. Functional Expertise of Membership The project team is a group of experts with deep knowledge in standards production and publication and awareness of implementers’ expectations. 4. Focus UN/CEFACT standards publication. 5. Initial Contributions The contributions submitted with this proposal include: Draft publication plans prepared by TBG 1, TBG 6 Draft CCTS 3 Transition Plan. Draft ODP 6.
