Joy Glidden is the Executive Producer and Host of Art Index TV, a lifestyle television show that engages key players who inform the business and practice of Contemporary Art. As an art activist and curator, Glidden is a force whose unrelenting dedication to the arts has fostered the careers of countless artists. Glidden founded the DUMBO Arts Center (DAC) and co-founded the DUMBO Art Under the Bridge Festival in , NY where she served as the Executive Director from 1997-2006. In 2006, she relocated to to assist in the wake of post-Katrina devastation and played a key role in the development of the Cultural section of Unified New Orleans Plan (UNOP). Glidden founded the alliance Contemporary Visual Arts Association of New Orleans (CVAANO), and successfully ran ArtWorks from 2007-2010. Apart from organizing curatorial projects and spearheading civic campaigns, Glidden has addressed non-profit policy at many esteemed institutes nationwide, including University, Pratt Institute, Maryland Institute of Contemporary Art and Louisiana State University.
