Vectren Rewards FAQ’s - General Shopping Information

1.) Can I combine multiple awards?

Yes. Go to the legend at the top, then click “Help” and “Combine Certificates”. This will move all available dollars to the most recent certificate number for easier shopping.

2.) Can I increase the value of my certificate to purchase more expensive items?

Yes. Go to the legend at the top, then click “Help” and “Add Value”. You then can add value to your certificate by charging any amount to your credit card. This is done when purchasing items greater than your certificate value because only one form of tender is allowed to make a purchase at website merchants. In other words, you can’t checkout at the merchant website with part certificate and part credit card. After determining purchase items and cost, including shipping and handling, you should first increase your certificate value to this amount, and then make your purchase.

3.) Can I check the balance of my certificate?

Yes. Go to the legend at the top, then click “Help” and “Check Balance”. You then can check the balance on any certificate by filling in the certificate number.

4.) When checking out, what payment field should I use?

Generally the merchant has multiple payment options such as Visa/Discover/Mastercard and gift card. However, you should use the option of “GiveAnything” which is usually within the normal credit card drop down selection or sometimes a separate button or checkbox next to the credit card selection such as “Pay by GiveAnything” which will then require your 16 digit merchandise certificate. You should not select or use any Promo code field or any other gift certificate field unless it is clearly marked GiveAnything.

5.) When checking out, and after filling in the certificate number, the merchant asks for an expiration date. When do Vectren Rewards merchandise certificates expire?

They do not expire (except upon death of recipient) or diminish in value, but since the merchant set up these screens similar to using a debit or credit card, assuming an expiration date, put in the current date to override the issue.

6.) Can I check the status of an order placed at an online store?

Your certificate functions just like a payment method at participating online merchants. If you have a question about your online order, please contact the merchant for information. If the merchant is not responsive or you have a concern about their business practices, then please let Award Customer Support know. The contact information is below.
