Bridges 4 Year Course Plan Builder

1. Log in to www.bridges.com and select Choices Planner. Portfolio Name = humble + 6 digit ID Password = 6 digit ID

2. Take the Cluster Finder assessment or view past results if you’ve already taken it.

3. Click Course Plan Builder under “learn” on the Home screen.

4. Click Edit to the right of Your Master Course Plan Basic.

5. Choose the cluster that best matches your future interests.

6. Select a graduation plan for your graduation year. FHSP + Distinguished Level of Achievement – Class of 2015+ is the default.

7. Click “add to your plan” in the top right corner.

8. Your 4 year plan grid will include default courses along with all the courses you’re enrolled in or have completed. To add or delete courses, click “Edit” in the course cell.

9. Humble ISD recommends the following order for editing courses: a. go subject by subject for the four core areas b. add the extracurricular activities (ag, athletics, cheer, drill team, fine arts, JROTC, etc.) that you intend to take all through high school note: Band A is listed in PE & Band B is listed in Fine Arts c. consider the recommended CTE courses in your pathway and add remaining requirements (fine arts, PE, foreign language, and comm apps) to your 4 year plan d. look at the bottom of each column for total credits per year (7 or 8 is the maximum, depending on your high school)

*Watch for the hover notes throughout the grid and heed their warnings!

*check your row totals and column totals (it’s okay to have too many but not okay to have too few)!

*add courses before removing courses ~ it’s easy to forget what you meant to add!

10.When your plan is complete and your row and column totals are correct, click “submit for approval”. A pop-up will appear if you are missing required courses.

11.Log in to www.bridges.com frequently to check for messages from your counselor. She or he will correspond with you in Bridges if you need to change any courses or adjust your plan. Feel free to send your counselor a message through Bridges as well 
