We are currently seeking a Payroll Manager in our Sterling Heights, MI facility. KSS Payroll Manager is primarily focused on managing the activities of a centralized payroll department, carrying out the responsibility for preparation and processing of hourly and salaried payrolls for multi-state locations. Oversee the maintenance of earnings and deduction records. Ensure that all federal, state and local taxes, Social Security contributions, contributions to 401k pension plan and other deductions are withheld from individual paychecks as appropriate. Recommend changes in methods or procedures to improve the efficiency of the payroll function. Prepare year-end W-2 forms, reconcile payroll tax returns, prepare Worker’s Comp audit.

 Ability to lead multi-state payroll processing, and work closely with local plant personnel.  Lead by example in demonstrating integrity and confidentiality.  Attend seminars and keep up to date on current payroll laws.  A competitive compensation and benefits package, including 401(k) match.

 Bachelor’s Degree in related discipline is required.  5-7 years of related experience in a similar role is required.  Experience with Ceridian Payroll System is preferred (including report writing).  Strong understanding of payroll laws and regulations.  Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) preferred.
