Release form for Journalism (Effective for 2016-2017 school year)

During the school day, FCBOE policy prohibits students from riding together unless the county provides a school bus with a county-employed, county-insured driver. Therefore, although your parents can give you permission to drive yourself from campus, they cannot give you permission to allow other students to ride with you or give you permission to ride with other student drivers.

Please complete and return this form if you are a licensed driver who has your parent’s permission to drive off campus for newspaper business during journalism class.

********** (Student) I understand  that neither your parents nor the newspaper adviser can give you permission to transport other students or to ride with other students  that I must first obtain permission from the newspaper adviser before leaving campus.  that I must sign out and sign back in with the newspaper adviser. (If you do not sign back in, I will notify an administrator.)  that I may leave campus to perform only legitimate newspaper errands.  that when I return from newspaper business, I may not bring back food or drink.  that I am required to return to campus at least ten minutes prior to the end of class.
