NATIONAL FEDERATION OF THE BLIND OF MICHIGAN 47th Annual STATE CONVENTION November 4, 5 and 6, 2016 Westin Southfield Detroit 1500 Town Center, Southfield, MI, 48075

MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT Welcome to our 2016 Convention. We encourage everyone to ask any question you may have about blindness and the National Federation of the Blind and our convention program. The National Federation of the Blind knows that blindness is not the characteristic that defines you or your future. Every day we raise the expectations of blind people, because low expectations create obstacles between blind people and our dreams. You can live the life you want; blindness is not what holds you back.

The Michigan Affiliate is selling Braille mugs!! They have the Braille alphabet on one side. The other side has a message to decipher in Braille plus three stick figures. One person is reading Braille. Another is using a cane and another is using a guide dog.
