JOB TITLE: Dietary Aide
DEPARTMENT: Dietary
REPORTS TO: Dietary Manager/Supervisor
GENERAL PURPOSE:
The Dietary Aid’s purpose is to assist the cooks, and other kitchen staff, with all aspects of the food service.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Able to read and write English
Willing to train and participate in ongoing staff development programs
Able to prepare snack according to established list
Willing and able to assist cook as needed
Shows an understanding of the importance of proper food handling techniques
In good health
Able to stand and walk as needed
Able to lift and move dishes, boxes of food, garbage, and all other items as required by the job
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Prepare and serve snacks according to established schedule
Clean work areas as assigned
Assist cook with washing and sanitizing all cookware and dishes
Clean equipment as needed
Assist cook as needed
OTHER DUTIES:
Perform all other duties as assigned and where needed
