JOB TITLE: Dietary Aide

DEPARTMENT: Dietary

REPORTS TO: Dietary Manager/Supervisor

GENERAL PURPOSE:

The Dietary Aid’s purpose is to assist the cooks, and other kitchen staff, with all aspects of the food service.

QUALIFICATIONS:

 Able to read and write English

 Willing to train and participate in ongoing staff development programs

 Able to prepare snack according to established list

 Willing and able to assist cook as needed

 Shows an understanding of the importance of proper food handling techniques

 In good health

 Able to stand and walk as needed

 Able to lift and move dishes, boxes of food, garbage, and all other items as required by the job

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

 Prepare and serve snacks according to established schedule

 Clean work areas as assigned

 Assist cook with washing and sanitizing all cookware and dishes

 Clean equipment as needed

 Assist cook as needed

OTHER DUTIES:

Perform all other duties as assigned and where needed
