<p> JOB DESCRIPTION</p><p>JOB TITLE: Dietary Aide</p><p>DEPARTMENT: Dietary</p><p>REPORTS TO: Dietary Manager/Supervisor</p><p>GENERAL PURPOSE:</p><p>The Dietary Aid’s purpose is to assist the cooks, and other kitchen staff, with all aspects of the food service. </p><p>QUALIFICATIONS:</p><p> Able to read and write English</p><p> Willing to train and participate in ongoing staff development programs</p><p> Able to prepare snack according to established list</p><p> Willing and able to assist cook as needed</p><p> Shows an understanding of the importance of proper food handling techniques</p><p> In good health</p><p> Able to stand and walk as needed</p><p> Able to lift and move dishes, boxes of food, garbage, and all other items as required by the job</p><p>ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:</p><p> Prepare and serve snacks according to established schedule</p><p> Clean work areas as assigned</p><p> Assist cook with washing and sanitizing all cookware and dishes</p><p> Clean equipment as needed</p><p> Assist cook as needed</p><p>OTHER DUTIES:</p><p>Perform all other duties as assigned and where needed</p>
