Are you ready to join this movement to fight poverty with faith?
As people of faith, we believe: o All Rhode Islanders deserve these fundamentals: ▪ Affordable housing; ▪ Nutritious food; ▪ Accessible healthcare; ▪ Equitable education; and ▪ Work with decent wages. o In our unique faiths, we each find the common call to work for justice – and the strength to sustain us on that journey.
We want to: o Unite with other people of faith, and advocates, across lines of difference, to create real, positive change for all Rhode Islanders living in poverty o Learn more about poverty issues that impact our communities o Work together to advocate for structural and policy-level solutions o Build the power and energy of our congregation and the faith-based anti-poverty community in RI
We commit to: o Attend key events (vigil, conference), bringing leaders and members of our congregation o Learn more about poverty and faith o Develop ourselves as leaders o Engage our congregation/organization to participate in and support campaigns and education efforts locally (e.g. postcard campaigns, call-in day’s)
If you affirm these common beliefs, hopes and commitments, join us!
