Brief description of last three relevant projects and how they were funded: (if there are no previous projects, list references)

1. By ASHA Seattle & Atlanta chapters: Projects Description

ASHA Seattle has approved funding for classrooms construction for this organization. In 2007 INR 6.3 lakhs have been approved by ASHA Seattle for disbursement in the year 2008. The school is running short of pucca classrooms and is run in bamboo huts currently. Asha Atlanta which has originally approved funding of $4,000 in Dec 2006 for constructing one classroom – not yet disbursed due to FCRA clearance issues and educational material is now considering to utilize the approved funds for funding preschool and primary school teachers’ salaries for 2008 for Parijat Academy.

2. School Uniform from Thailand Buddhist group: Once, during a visit to Bodh Gaya, Uttam learnt of a Buddhist organization in Thailand that renders assistance to underprivileged children. He sent an e-mail and within a month, the Supreme Master Ching, which has an office in Mumbai, sent him a draft of Rs 30,000 towards uniform for the kids. The blue-and-white uniform that his students wear have lost their sheen. They are more than a year old now.

3. A welfare group in Guwahati donated textbooks and a small amount of money with which Uttam purchased three ceiling fans to beat the summer heat
