UPLYME PARISH COUNCIL PLANNING COMMITTEE 1

Minutes of Planning Committee Meeting held on Monday 18th April at 5 p.m. in the Village Hall Committee Room. Present: Cllrs Frost, Garland (Chairman), Mason, Ostler, Pratt, Turner and 1 member of the public. 1. Apologies for absence – None. Meeting adjourned for open forum 2. Minutes of the last Planning Committee meeting on 23rd March were approved (proposed Cllr Garland, seconded Cllr Pratt). 3. Declarations of interest: Cllr Pratt declared an interest on (item ‘c ‘& ‘d’) - Cllr Turner (item ‘e’) 4. The Planning Committee considered the following planning applications: a) 16/0771/RES Harcombe Cross Harcombe Road, Axminster EX13 5TB Reserved matters application persuant to application, 13/1975/OUT for the erection of a dwelling (matters of layout, scale, access, apprearance and landscaping to be considered. It was resolved unanimously to respond as follows: “The Parish Council Planning Committee does not object to the application”(proposed Cllr Frost, seconded Cllr Pratt). Reason: Subject to Drainage underneath access if appropriate b) 16/0700/FUL Hunters Croft Charmouth Road, Axminster EX13 5ST Single storey rear extension.It was resolved unanimously to respond as follows: “The Parish Council Planning Committee does not object to the application”(proposed Cllr Ostler, seconded Cllr Mason). Reason: No Objection

c) 16/0708/FUL Perhams Holcombe Lane, Uplyme Lyme Regis, DT7 3SN Change of use of field to provide new access and construction of garage.It was resolved unanimously to respond as follows: “The Parish Council Planning Committee object to the application”(proposed Cllr Frost, seconded Cllr Mason). Reason: The Uplyme Parish Council Planning Committee objects to the amended plans because the change of agricultural land to domestic use has not been justified, and is outside the village envelope. Any new access arrangements should be subject to DCC Highways approval. d) 16/0766/FUL The Halt Venlake, Uplyme Lyme Regis, Devon DT7 3SE Construction of single storey rear extension and balcony, 2no dormers to north elevation. It was resolved unanimously to respond as follows: “The Parish Council Planning Committee does not object to the application”(proposed Cllr Mason, seconded Cllr Garland). No Objection e) 16/0825/FUL White Wings Woodhouse Hill, Uplyme Lyme Regis, DT7 3SL Re- build and extension of garage, construction of outbuliding in front garden.It was resolved unanimously to respond as follows: “The Parish Council Planning UPLYME PARISH COUNCIL PLANNING COMMITTEE 2

Committee does not object to the application”(proposed Cllr Garland, seconded Cllr Pratt). Reason: Must remain within the curtilage of the main house, garage extension should be the same materials as bungalow and additional shed remain within the curtilage of the main house.

f) 16/0301/FUL, Land Adjacent 17 Glebelands, Construction of 2 storey dwelling and off street parking, Betterment Properties (Weymouth) Ltd, It was resolved unanimously to respond as follows: “The Parish Council Planning Committee objects to the application, which is supported by a statement from the Uplyme Neighbourhood Plan Group. It wishes to reiterate that an application on this site has already been dismissed on appeal and nothing has changed in its favour since then and please refer to all of our past documentation.( Proposed Cllr Mason seconded Cllr Garland)

g) 14/0756/FUL ~ Lindens Mill Lane ~ First floor extension over bungalow and new entrance lobby ~ Mr & Mrs Andrew Cuthbert ~ Letter from Parish council planning commitee re: Pods. To be sent to EDDC planning Enforcement officer D Cocker. (Proposed Cllr Pratt, seconded Cllr Mason)

h) 14/0756/FUL ~ Lindens Mill Lane ~ First floor extension over bungalow and new entrance lobby ~ Mr & Mrs Andrew Cuthbert Cllr Ostler to Contact D Cocker (Officer) on update on Enforcement (Proposed Cllr Pratt, seconded Cllr Mason)

There being no other business, the meeting closed at 6.00 p.m.
