Follow the directions and links below to gather information about your birthday. Use the information you gathered from the Internet to create a PowerPoint presentation about the day you were born.

 Your name & birthday  Photo of yourself  Info from How Old Are You? - http://www.timeanddate.com/date/duration.html Use the date calculator to determine how many days old you are. The start date is your birthdate. The end date is October 1, 2010.

Moons  Info from The Man in the Moon & You - http://imagiware.com/astro/moon.cgi - Enter your birthday and click Get Moon. Copy and paste the picture of the moon phase into a PowerPoint slide. Then, go to http://aa.usno.navy.mil/faq/docs/moon_phases.html to determine the name of the moon phase. Match the picture of the moon from the first site to the name and description of the moon phase on the second site.

Read through the historical facts that happened on the day you were born. List 3 historical facts that occurred on your birthday and the year they happened. At the bottom of this site is a list of famous people that share your birthday. List 3 famous people that share your birthday and why they are famous (occupation).

Select a category (WWI, WWII, Wall Street, Vietnam War, Presidential, Old West, Crime, Cold War, American Revolution, Civil War, Automotive, General Interest, Literary, Lead Story, Entertainment, or Disaster). List an event that took place on your birthday.

TV the Year You were Born  Info from TV Channel - http://www.inthe90s.com/prime.shtml Select the prime time television programs for the first year of your life. For example, if you were born in 1993, you would select 1993-1994. List 10 television programs for the first year of your life.

List the meaning and origin of your name. If your name is not on the list, ask your parents/family how they chose your name and why.  Optional: baby photo of yourself (can be scanned)
