Grants Received at The University of Texas at El Paso

Principal Investigator of a sponsored project funded by a grant from the U.S. Department of Justice to the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office. A contract between El Paso County Sheriff’s Office, El Paso County and U.T. El Paso is being executed for me to conduct a general public survey that will ask a representative cross-section

2 of voters in El Paso County certain questions regarding how satisfied they are with the performance of the Sheriff’s Office. The survey data, crime statistics, complaints and comments from the public will be analyzed and a report will be composed and presented to the U.S. Department of Justice. The report will contain findings and recommendations on how best the Sheriff’s Office can meet its responsibilities to prevent crime by creating a crime fighting collaborative effort between its office and the El Paso community – February, 2004. Initiated and consummated an agreement with the United States Boundary and Water Commission to teach MPA courses at the IBWC offices for IBWC personnel at $1200 per course. A special MPA account received the funds, 1997.
