Employee Volunteering Project in Basingstoke & Deane - you may not know that Basingstoke Voluntary Services (BVS) runs an Employee Volunteering project in Basingstoke & Deane where individuals and groups of employee volunteers from local companies undertake tasks for voluntary and community organisations, including schools.

Typical tasks include gardening, decorating and conservation work but it could be any task that requires a group of people with no specific skills or training to undertake. Companies in the network include: Accenture, Barclays, CareFusion, Holiday Inn (Basingstoke), Sun Life Financial of Canada, Unum and Vis Europe.

If you have any particular tasks that you require assistance with over the next few months, in particular if you have any decorating or gardening/outdoor projects (these are popular with companies as employees like to get out of the office and do some work in the community). For example, in the past employee volunteers helped create a sensory garden for a school.

If you think that this service may be useful, the BVS Employee Volunteering Projector Coordinator could visit your school to meet you and get more information concerning specific tasks that you might require help with.

If you are interested please contact Vivien Harrison (normal working days Tuesdays and Thursdays) on 01256 423833 or email [email protected].
