Bajaur Agency:

On 22 Oct 2012, two minor girls were injured when four mortar shells fired by militants from Afghanistan landed in Mamond tehsil in Bajaur Agency.

On 23 Oct 2012, the tribal people displaced from Salarzai tehsil of Bajaur Agency owing to attacks from across the Afghan border have started returning to their native villages as administration has declared the area free of militants.

On 25 Oct 2012, the tribal people have demanded of the political administration to take effective steps to stop smuggling of livestock as it was causing hike in the prices of sacrificial animals in Bajaur Agency.

On 20 Oct 2012, Sector Commander (North) of Pakistan Army Brigadier Haider Ali announced the lifting of curfew in Bajaur Agency around four years after its imposition, saying the move has been made after the restoration of peace and establishment of the government’s writ across the tribal region.

Mohmand Agency:

On 24 Oct 2012, Levies personnel and volunteers of Haleemzai Peace Committee demolished the houses of five suspected militants in Roadh Mandi area.

On 25 Oct 2012, suspected militants blew up two government primary schools in Haleemzai tehsil.

Khyber Agency:

On 23 Oct 2012, the security forces recovered huge quantity of ammunition from a house at the Torkhum border.

On 23 Oct 2012, about 70 stone crushing units have been closed in Bara tehsil of Khyber Agency for the last three years owing to the ongoing military operation and worse law and order situation. North Waziristan Agency:
