I. Old Business

a. Personnel Committee Need to figure out how to calculate years of service JoAnn will follow-up on the calculation b. A Model of Accessibility (CDS or COE calculation). Also need to standardize of years of service and the gifts. c. Promotion Criteria for CDS the gifts/awards given for 5, 10, 15, 20 years of service Will get update from Becky Ozaki at next meeting on other items II. New Business

a. CDS emergency procedures- chain of CDS staff should be familiar with emergency Jean J to follow up with Don Young to command procedures (hurricane, etc.). CDS Council may need ask about the latest version. Discussion to keep a library of CDS materials or put the of emergency procedures at CDS emergency procedures on the CDS website. There is Assembly? a COE emergency procedures booklet on the COE website. Jean J. said that the booklet is being revised. b. Purpose of Council Jean J. discussed the purpose of the Council. It is All- Review Charter and Bylaws on intended to be a governance structure that provides CDS website, staff login section. guidance and input to CDS Director. 1 CDS Council Meeting Wednesday, July 28, 2010 10-11am c. Goals for the year The council members reviewed the grid with ideas for field trips, brown bags, and assemblies that were gathered at the Spring Assembly.

One idea was to have the media center do a Kat to follow up with Media Center presentation/workshop on what they can help with (e.g., posters).

CDS had happy hours in the past. There was interest More happy hour planning at next in bringing these events back so there are meeting opportunities to socialize and meet other members of the family. Frequency- 1x every other month?
