Position: Assistant Principal –High School Building Full-time position for the 2015-16 school year

Posting Dates: April 24 to May 11, 2015

Reports To: High School Principal

Effective Date of Employment: August, 2015

Qualifications:  Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership preferred  Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate  Valid Michigan School Administrator Certificate  Excellent communication skills  Proven success with changing student behavior  Strong leadership skills  Strong organizational skills  Positive rapport with parents and students  Experience with Seat-Time Waiver and Online Learning programs preferred  Minimum of five years of successful teaching preferred

Job Requirements:  Supervises and oversees the attendance and discipline policies  Supervises and oversees the online learning and seat-time waiver programs  Counsels and advises individuals and groups on matters pertaining to student behavior, parental concerns, and school mission  Assists principal in formulating and implementing student policies and programs  Serves as an Administrative liaison to Student Congress  Evaluates staff as assigned  Assists with master scheduling  Other duties to support administration (contact Dan Remenap for a complete Job Description)
