Fall Concert-All Choirs – Hamburg HS Auditorium Wednesday, November 2 at 7:30 PM Spring Concert-All Choirs-Hamburg HS Auditorium Tuesday, June 5 at 7:30 PM

Attendance at all concerts is mandatory. Excused absences must be pre-approved and are at the discretion of Mr. Zogaib. In case of emergency, a phone call from the student’s parent/guardian ASAP following the absence is required in order for the absence to be considered excused. Failure to attend the performance without prior approval may result in removal from the course.

Grading 95% of your grade is based on class participation. In class and in lessons, you are expected to do the following:  Come to class prepared (music and pencil) and on time.  Perform accurate notes and rhythms to the best of your ability.  Complete all assignments; solfege, essay on meaning of text, etc.  Use correct posture and proper vocal technique when singing.  Never talk during rehearsal — be respectful of your teacher and others choir members Students earning 95 points ALWAYS attempt to do the above during rehearsal: Students earning 90 points do the above MOST of the time attempt the above during rehearsal. Students earning 85 points do the above SOMETIMES attempt the above during rehearsal. Students earning 80 points do the above OCCAISIONALLY during rehearsal. Students earning 75 points or below RARELY, if ever, complete the assigned tasks.

Lessons 5% of your grade is based on lesson participation/part checks. 1 lesson per marking period will be an assessment of the skills worked on in lessons/rehearsal. This must be completed by the end of the marking period.

Women’s Chorale: Concert Attire-Concert Chorale Long Black Shirts (below knee) or black pants (no jeans) Ladies-Gowns will be assigned. Black shoes and black Long Sleeved black top stockings. Dark shoes Men-Tuxes/shoes will be assigned. You need black socks. Men’s Chorale: Long Sleeved Black Shirt/Tie Black Pants (No jeans) Black Shoes
