Feed My Starving Children

From Padma Chintapalli:

Hari Om Parents of students 4th grade and above,

1. OCT 6th 2-4 p.m. We have a rewarding service project for your children who are in 4th grade or above to participate in. They will be going to Feed My Starving Children (FMSC) at the Chanhassen location and package nutritious meals for malnourished children around the world. If you are interested in checking the FMSC, please look up their website at www.fmsc.org. Scroll down for details and directions for this project.

2. OCT 27th morning. The second project we have (again for 4th grade and above) in October is raking the leave from disabled people's yards. This project is organized on Make a Difference Day, a nationwide day of volunteering. The sponsor of this project is Hammer Residences (www.hammer.org) that maintains homes for developmentally disabled adults and children. Details like the address of the home and exact time for this project will be provided closer to the date. This is a fun one where the kids can work off some that energy!

I encourage you to consider one or both of these projects for your children. I will have sign up sheets for both projects available the next couple of Sundays during Balavihar. Alternately, you can email me at [email protected] and let me know your child's name, grade and the best phone number for you.
