Senior Secretary Department of Philosophy Faculty of Humanities
We invite applications for a permanent Senior Secretary, for appointment from 15 January 2014 (or as soon as possible thereafter) to join the Philosophy Department’s administrative team in providing secretarial and administrative support.
Requirements:
Grade 12 Good written and verbal communication skills Good reception skills High level of computer literacy Good time management and organisational skills Ability to work independently and part of a team and to follow instructions Able to multi task Ability to work methodically and accurately Excellent work ethic
The following would be advantageous:
A tertiary degree or Secretarial Diploma or equivalent work experience Knowledge of the University’s academic and administrative procedures Experience with PeopleSoft and Vula systems
Responsibilities:
Departmental administrative and secretarial functions Course administration and student affairs Marks processing Interfacing with students at Reception window
The annual cost of employment for 2013, including benefits is between R 141 483 and R 166 490. Please note the annual remuneration for 2014 is currently under review.
