1. Before submitting this notice and starting work you must submit an application under the Building Act 1984, The Building Regulations 2000 (as amended). Application forms can be found on our website www.towerhamlets.gov.uk/data/planning/index.cfm

2. In addition to the Notice of Commencement, Regulation 15 of the Building Regulations 2000 (as amended) requires the person carrying out building work to give notice in writing of: a. The covering up of any excavation for a foundation, any foundation, any damp proof course or any concrete or other material laid over a site, or any drain or sewer to which The Regulations apply, at least two days beforehand. b. The laying, haunching or covering any drain or sewer, in respect of which Part H of Schedule 1 (drainage and waste disposal) imposes a requirement, not more than five days after the completion of the work.

3. The London Borough of Tower Hamlets upholds the principles of the Data Protection Act. The information supplied on this form and in future by telephone, correspondence or verbally will be held on computer for the purpose of Building Control administration.
